My Problem
I'd passed my iPhone 4s down to my teenage daughter. She'd been using it really hard (instagram) and wasn't getting much time out of the battery anymore. After helping her quit apps that were sucking the battery, it still wasn't lasting very long anymore, so we decided to try replacing it ourselves.
My Fix
The repair went fine. The instructions told me everything I needed to know.
My Advice
Read ahead a step in the instructions. Sometimes the next step has a warning or something you'll need to know to do the step you are currently on.
The parts and screws are very small, and my eyes struggled to see a few things, and my fingers were too clumsy sometimes. However the iFixit screwdrivers are magnetized, which I used to get thru a couple of steps.
