My Problem
Went surfing on the big island and forgot the Galaxy Note in the pocket of my shorts.
My Fix
The repair was enlightening and the experience indispensable however the salt had remained too long and though I soaked and lightly scrubbing the components in 91% alcohol for thirty plus minutes I could not revive my phone after meticulously reassembling it.
My Advice
Next time (yes, there will be a next time) I will immediately submerge the phone again in fresh water after removing battery, SD and SIMM cards. I will not allow it to dry placing it in a plastic bag until I am able to disassemble and soak in alcohol. Then use blow drier (air only no heat) to dry and then place the parts in a sack of rice over night. Most important, I will not be in a hurry.
