My Problem
My mid-2009 MBP was slowing down until the drive finally crashed. I was hesitant to replace the drive myself while the drive was good, but now since it crashed, there was no risk ... iFixit here I come.
My Fix
Getting the tools with the drive along with a USB adapter was the key. I opened the instructions on my iPad - and they were perfect. A true no-brainer. Having a device with which to find the instructions was also a key.
My Advice
The repair is so easy, it's hard to come up with advice. I suppose my advice is to say - don't hesitate, the repair is as easy as unscrewing a few screws - then screwing them back in ... literally that easy.
