Ripping apart a Nikon Camera

My Problem

I'm an amateur astronomer. I enjoy taking images of interesting things in the night sky. I have an extra, older Nikon DSLR camera that I decided to risk modifying by removing interior filters to make the camera more sensitive to certain wavelengths of light.

My Fix

I used a cheap 00 screwdriver at first, and stripped two of the first screws. After finding iFixit and ordering a much better set of 00 and 000 screwdrivers, the other screws holding the camera body together came out without a hitch.

My Advice

Bingo - get a better screwdriver and the job goes a lot easier!
