My Problem
I have an I-Phone 4S, It was given to me three years ago. I dropped it and cracked the back panel 6 months ago, and fixed it with pack tape. My in-laws were over Christmas eve, I intended to pull my phone out for a little personal time out. I dropped the phone and it hit a metal chair on the way down, this shattered the front display. Despite having a new, more advanced phone. I really want to see how many years i can go with this 4S, so i decided to repair it.
My Fix
I bought the front and rear panels from ifixit, the set that included the tools. Start to finish, the process took about and hour and a quarter; a little time was wasted cleaning up the glass fragments. Clear instructions were online. I made sure to clean all the metal to metal contacts with the alcohol swab provided, the phone has better battery life now .
My Advice
Read the instructions, review the pictures and don't be afraid, it's a phone, not a person.
