One faulty tool, but otherwise smooth and easy as pie.

My Problem

Battery had a Service Alert sign and was de-charging quickly and erratically. Replaced using P5 Pentalobe and MacBook Air 13" battery, along with very easy to follow directions, from IFixIt (already had the T5 screwdriver in the house).

My Fix

The P5 showed up lacking in "grooves" - we couldn't get any purchase on the screws - so we made a quick trip to Fry's to get another. After that, all smooth and easy, except for the unsightly crumbs and dust exposed within.

My Advice

Trust the directions, have no fear. It was unfortunate that the P5 that was delivered was faulty, but since Fry's was open, nearby, and stocked, I could forgive the wasted $8. I didn't take any photos, but they would have been of all the dust I found underneath the cover!
