My Problem

My Mac was not getting good battery life and was reporting that the battery needed to be replaced soon.

My Fix

Repair was really easy.

My Advice

Keep an eye on this iFixIt battery every once in a while because mine started to expand after about 6 months and put pressure on the touchpad which gradually decreased the space and depression distance of the touchpad to the point that it eventually was pressed in the "down" position by the battery pushing up under it. If I had paid attention to the warning signs sooner, I might have caught the problem before the 6 month warranty was over. I recommend opening your computer up about 5 months after your purchase and see if you notice any swelling of the battery case. At first I thought the problem was just my touchpad, but I started to see other issues like spontaneous shutdowns. By the time I opened it up and looked at the battery, the warranty had expired. I just put my old battery back in. I don't think I'll risk buying this battery again since it only has a 6 month warranty.
