Difficult

My Problem

Before I met her, her iPod Touch had a broken screen from all the times she dropped it. I figured it would be a great idea to try and fix it. As if that was not enough, I told her that if I made it worse, she gets a new one.

My Fix

The most frustrating part of the repair was getting the digitizer cable to mate. Additional advice on how to accomplish that would be very helpful. Everything else went well. There are some light leaks on the side, but I chalk that up to being a beginner.

My Advice

1. If the screen is broken, put a piece of packing tape on it before starting so that the shards don't go everywhere.

2. Clean away shards and bits as you go.

3. Order an additional plastic opening tool set.

4. The digitizer cable needs to be folded and tucked before reassembly.
