My Problem
I dropped my iPhone recently and completely shattered the back panel. With three kids and a busy household I couldn't afford to pay the $200 deductible that Apple was asking or the $30 per month for an additional two years for an installment phone. My only option was to take it to a repair place an hour away and pay $40. But, luckily a Home Depot employee who noticed my phone in a plastic bag suggested I use IFIXIT. She showed me the website on her own phone and told me how great and easy it was. Not only was it easy to navigate the site, but I got it in the mail in just a few days!
My Fix
It was so easy. So simple and so inexpensive. I was proud to show my kids how to recycle what you already have instead of adding to wasteful spending by getting rid of a perfectly great working phone.
The tools and instructions were simple. It took me all of 30 seconds to repair.
My Advice
When you break anything, check ifixit first! You can't go wrong with using Ifixit! I'll definitely use it again.
