Updating an Older Macbook

My Problem

Optical Drive failed, but my client was happy with an external, and wanted the speed increase of an SSD for booting Yosemite and running Pro Tools for music creation.

My Fix

Piece of cake; the only trouble was that I managed to forget to connect the SATA cable after getting it mounted in there, and had to un-mount everything and re-do it. Really, pretty easy.

My Advice

Don't forget to double check the SATA cable.
