My Problem

I fixed this iPhone 3GS because my friend Sam needed a new screen and battery. I wonder how many times this has been said...

My Fix

7.5/10. The suction cup "suctioned" too much and broke one ribbon cable, thankfully non-life-threatening. (Ribbon cable 3. For those that don't know, it controls the proximity sensor.) The home button hole on the new display was also a mite small, so that needs to be sanded down still. Aside from that, everything went well!

My Advice

"Mild" adhesive, beware that warning. The "mild" adhesive on the battery took 15 minutes to remotely warm up on my heat gun's (read: Mom's hair dryer;) hottest setting. This scalded the back case and prevented me from touching it, therefore letting the battery adhesive solidify. >.<. Anyway, my helpful spudger saved the day!
