DUAL DRIVE in my MacBook Pro Late 2011

My Problem

I'm designer, so need high performace when using softwares like Alias Automotives, Keyshot and photoshop in the same time.

So the idea was to install my system and softwares on my mbp.

My Fix

Perfect !

I really enjoy the fast start and speed when using big softwares !

My Advice

1 TAKE YOUR TIME (I took 5hours to copy the disks, test to start from it and install it in my mbp)

2 DON'T PUT THE SSD IN THE DUAL DRIVE ENCLOSURE (connected in place of the optical drive) ! Because the SATA connection of the optical drive in your mbp is less efficient (even if the two are in SATA 3 with 6GB connection speed, which is my case).

So what you have to do is make a TURNOVER, INSTALL YOUR SSD IN PLACE OF YOUR ORIGINAL HARD DISK and put this last in the dual drive enclosure. Because the SSD require the best connection.

for the little story... In the beginning, I made the mistake of installing my SSD in place of the optical drive. THE RESULT ???

MY MBP DIDN'T MANAGE TO RUN MORE THAN 10 SECONDS BEFORE CRASHING AND SHOWING THE SYSTEM ERROR MESSAGE.
