My Problem
After forgetting phone was on my lap and getting out of the car the front was cracked, and it descended into further grief from that point on. When it got to the point of being unusable without depositing pieces of glass in my hand or face I decided a fix was required..
My Fix
The repair kit (front) and replacement back panel arrived 4 days after being ordered (in Australia!!) and although I had already had a glass or two of fine Australian wine (or maybe because), I decided to proceed immediately. I watched the video and followed the printed guide, and found the repair/replacement reasonably easy. I have very limited use of my left hand following a motorcycle accident some years ago, and as such found some of the 'fiddly' bits even more fiddly and a little frustrating, but completed the repair well within the expected 1 hour (as per the guide.)
My Advice
My biggest piece of advice - listen to the advice on the video and be sure to have a tray of some description that can be labelled to hold the many, many little screws.
It would have been much easier if the phillips head screwdriver that came with the repair kit was magnetised as the flathead was.
