iPod Nano 3rd Generation Battery Replacement

1 - 2 hours

Very difficult

My Problem

Ipod Nano would not turn on...Diag-guessed dead battery, which I replaced. Apparently was not the problem:(

My Fix

With a little patience was able to get the back off without damaging it. Started opening at the bottom next to docking connector. Followed directions for disassembly which went easy enough. removed old battery; replaced with new, but didn't solve the problem.

My Advice

The wire leads on the battery are incredibly small. You'll probably need some sort of jeweler's glasses or magnifying lens to properly remove old leads and connect new ones. In hindsight, I think I'm gonna stick with those repairs that don't involve soldering components.
