My Problem
I had a damaged bottom case and installed a new one for my 2008 Macbook Pro 17" A1261. I had to move all the components and needed the Thermal Paste and ArctiClean to re-connect the heat sink in the new case.
My Fix
I felt that I may have used too little paste, but the installation seems to have worked perfectly. Have had no issues as of yet.
My Advice
Try to follow the guide as closely as possible.
