My Problem

Needed a new battery to prolong the life of my mid 2009 PowerBook unibody laptop.

My Fix

Your guide was great, I love the site. The only problem was that even though I was prepared with all the right parts and tools, the 3 top screws on the battery were so tight (due to factory) and the metal of the screw so cheap, that they stripped out on me even when carefully using the correct P6 Pentalobe screwdriver. I ended up having more luck with the 1.5 mm flathead approach, and finally got the repair done.

My Advice

In specific cases like mine I recommend using the 1.5 mm flathead approach, so I'm glad your repair guide mentioned that note as an option.
