My Problem

To get my wife off my ass about how slow her MacBook Pro had become... complain, complain, complain

My Fix

The process went great when speaking of physically changing the hardware. It sucked that I could not figure out how to clone the hard drive. I would find the information on how to do it, but it was beyond my understanding as I speak PC and understand PC logic, I don't understand Apple or their logic... which is odd because it is supposed to be more logical and simple to understand.

My Advice

I wish I knew that I purchased a hard drive enclosure when I ordered the repair "KIT", and would have cloned my old hard drive first. I was going to try to clone it post mortem, but I could not identify the new drive with the apple language and logic like I could a PC... none of which is IFIXIT's problem, but mine... So I will probably go back, install my old hard drive, clone it to the new one, now that I know I own the gear to do it, then reinstall everything again...
