My Fix

I went slowly, using a grounded wrist strap and a hands-free magnifier. It went smoothly.

My Advice

I would add a pair of tweezers to the recommended tools, and in my case I think the anti-static project tray is mandatory.

Before I started, I shut the phone down and then did a soft reset. I think that made it find the signal immediately when I plugged it into the charger after the repair.
