Known as difficult I must have had luck, everything went well! (you have to dispose of a thermostat-controlled heathter to unglue the iPod's case)

Original battery not holding a charge.

My Fix

I didn't have the right screwdriver, so I ground down a common one that was close. It got the screws out, but I couldn't get them all back in again. I fastened the edges only, but it closed up ok. Works great!

Your battery was much cheaper than any other option . . .
