It was not difficult but a bit harder than I expected since I have to take off and reuse the original parts (Touch ID sensor, Front facing camera, ...). Have access to a heat gun in the lab helps. Overall it is pretty fun to do this myself.

Wasn't very clear on the backing plate, but after reading the instructions I realized I didn't have to remove the adhesive ground from one of the connectors.

The touchscreen wasn't responding well. I bought a new display assembly to replace the old one.

Turned out the problem is probably with the digitizer connector on the logic board. There are a couple of little metal connections that seem to have broken, and the touch screen is consequently unresponsiv . . .
