My Problem

My battery wasn't holding a charge.

My Fix

The adhesive broke immediately which meant I had to pry the battery out. I didn't heat it up I just bent it all up and tore out the battery. Once I got the new battery in the screen had white/grey blocks and lines on it. Someone suggested unplugging and replugg . . .

My Problem

Slow performance

My Fix

Battery replacement instructions were very well done. The video was particularly helpful, but I had to replay it several times. Pulling the battery hold down tape from the case is impossible. I was glad that the use of a plastic card to remove it worked, although it was slow-going . . .

My Problem

Phone would suddenly warn low battery and shut off. I would plug it in to charge and it would show 45% battery.

My Fix

Took a little longer that I thought it should.

My Advice

I found that to start unscrewing the little screws, I had to put a bit of pressure on them to loosen them up. Maybe the battery could be warmed . . .

My Problem

My phone's battery had been jumping around. It would read at 80% and then with little use drop to 30%. Sometimes it would be above 50% one second and with little use power off. When I'd power it back on, it would display MORE power than prior to it turning off. I wasn't for sure if it was a batt . . .

My Problem

The battery was dying to fast and the phone was slowing. thanks Apple.

My Fix

Very easy.

My Advice

The only thing I'd add is the battery tape was not coming out like your video. I saw another video that suggested using a playing card to get under the battery to break the bond with the tape and allow teh battery to b . . .

My Problem

Battery dying at 30 percent or spontaneously shutting down under stress. Discovered it was likely swelling as the screen was also peeling off.

My Fix

I didn’t expect a battery replacement to be very difficult but I blame Apple and the fact that my screen was peeling up from its base. When I popped the scr . . .

My Problem

Old battery was getting weak. Had to recharge through out the day. New battery now lasts day and a half.

My Fix

Tool kit is great. Getting old glue strips out from under old battery was a problem. Had to force up the old battery and slide a card under.

My Advice

Be very patient in removing the old glue strips

My Problem

There's no point in buying a new phone when Ifixit is so helpful

My Fix

There is a problem with the adhesive strips that arrived with my battery. Not a big deal if you aren't a rookie and somehow know that in advance.

First, I know these strips give people grief generally, but my problem was different. I g . . .

My Problem

Replaced battery vs buying a new phone

My Fix

Removing the. stock battery was difficult because of the adhesive tape behind the stock battery, but once out, it was very simple to replace with the new battery.

My Advice

Purchase an additional tool not included in the kit that helps to pry up the old battery from the ad . . .

My Problem

IPhone wouldn't hold charge.

My Fix

Repair went fairly easy except battery removal. Both glue straps snapped with minimum pulling. Was forced to heat battery with hair dryer. Took a while, but eventually the straps softened enough to pull battery. Reassembled iPhone 5C with no difficulty. All in all no . . .
