My Problem

The phone wouldn't charge. I thought about selling it or just tossing it since I wasn't sure if just replacing the charge port would fix it. I had dropped it in water before so the real problem could've been worse than I knew.

I opened up the phone as I had done many times before using the ifixit too . . .

My Problem

iPhone was not charging

My Fix

This the first time I ever opened a cell phone. I replaced the connector the charger worked, but the phone kept searching for the WiFi. I realized that I probably should have taken off the blue protectors before I put the new connector and maybe this was why the WiFi did not . . .

For a tech this is easy - and even for a novice, if you follow the video and be patient, you should be fine. I think my only issue with IFIXIT is the cost of the parts - they are a bit higher... but I know I can depend on them and cust . . .

My Problem

My lighting port iphone was faulty and the cable wouldn't fit snugly into the iphone. Because of this, the connection was unreliable and would constantly disconnect. My Problem

My iPhone 5c become to lost connection and didn't charge. 2 of my 3 cables don't recognized by phone.

My Fix

I fix it. Tomorrow I was got my packet from ifixit.com with lightning assembly and today my iPhone 5c can charge again.

My Problem

The home button contact on the phone broke a spring contact.

My Fix

It was laborious and tricky. It took some finesse. Patience was required. I had to take the new one out a couple of times to adjust here and there.

My Advice

Be gentle. The parts are fragile.

Be patient. Give yourself a couple hours to do it.
