My Problem

My sister's friend's iPhone 5c was cracked so she contacted me. Until this, I had only repaired my own stuff or stuff that didn't need to be fixed.

My Fix

The repair went smoothly and I followed the guide on how to take great photos and documented the repair.

My Advice

Take your time, also be extremely careful around . . .

My Problem

My screen was more shattered than the dreams of a biology undergraduate that just failed the MCAT

My Fix

Great. I probably shouldn't have started at 1AM, but it worked out in the end. The phone works completely. I had to pry about a third of my screen off piece by piece. I can't believe how easy this was! . . .

My Problem

The problem? The problem is my 12-year-old daughter has the fine motor skills of a newborn and the common sense of a banana. The phone lasted exactly one week with her before flying from her hands and across her school's cafeteria.

My Fix

After the cafeteria incident, I tried three different replacement di . . .

My Problem

Shattered my screen

My Fix

The repair went well. No major issues nothing incredibly difficult. Just the usual, make sure it's put back together the same way it came apart. I wish the new screen assembly had come with the home button. The adhesive didn't stick very well after I took it off the old assembly . . .

My Problem

The screen was cracked & the battery drained quickly.

My Fix

Overall pretty easy. The screws are super tiny, but magnetic tips help to not loose them.

Large fingers / hands will make it challenging but can still be done!

I appreciate the video & text walk through's. I used both of them.

My Advice

If the adhesive . . .

My Problem

Screen was cracked

My Fix

It went well until trying to remove and replace the home button, but it wasn’t to hard just a little time consuming

My Advice

Take your time, and make sure you keep track of all the small screws.

My Problem

I dropped the phone and cracked the screen so bad it looked like a spiderweb.

My Fix

Repair was easy. If you can read and use basic tools you can do this repair.

My Advice

Make sure you get wide enough tape so the suction cup fits. Some tape isn't wide enough and the suction cup will not grab.

My Problem

Wife cracked her screen

My Fix

Very smoothly. However, I benefited from having recently replaced the battery on my other phone (which was a more difficult endeavor)

BTW--The quality of the tools is top notch and makes a huge difference in the installation. I replaced a battery on a MacBook Pro from anoth . . .

My Problem

Sat on the phone and cracked the screen

My Fix

Splendid!

My Advice

Did not expect to have to re-use the "Home" button, but found the repair guide easily.

My Problem

Screen digitizer failure and Apple store can't fix and a replacement from them is like 5X the fix from iFixit. Wasn't about to tell her to upgrade, and she didn't want to anyway.

My Fix

Went fine as all 8 of my iPhone fixes have gone. Getting so good at these that I don't need the 20 min average repair tim . . .
