Device Info
The Apple iPhone 5c, announced September 10, 2013 is a cheaper, more colorful version than the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Internally, the iPhone 5c is almost identical to the iPhone 5. It features a 4.00 inch touchscreen display with 640x1136 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash that shoots full 1:1 1080p video at 30 FPS, and a 1.2 megapixel front camera. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Apple A6 processor and comes with 1GB of RAM. Case colors come in white, pink, yellow, green and blue plastic backs.
The most commonly needed repairs for the iPhone 5c are cracked screens and dead battery replacements. iFixit carries the best iPhone 5c screens and iPhone 5c batteries on the market, along with a complete catalog of other iPhone 5c parts for the less common part swaps.
All iPhone 5c repairs will require a Pentalobe P2 screwdriver to remove Apple’s tamper resistant Pentalobe screws, in addition to standard precision electronics tools.
