My Problem

The glass on the screen was extremely shattered.

My Fix

The repair was simple. Having a good amount of experience with this made everything seamless.

My Advice

Be sure you've got the right tools. Especially for all the different sizes of the screws, so you don't have to get rough with them and risk stripping them.

My Problem

Front glass was severely cracked.

My Fix

My Advice

Might be worth purchasing the display with the camera an . . .

My Fix

Followed instructions and it went well. Took my time and double checked as I went.

My Advice

Take your time and have plenty of light as parts are very small

My Problem

After replacing my battery with an iFixit kit about a week earlier, my daughter dropped my iPhone in the driveway at a wedding and it shattered the screen.

My Fix

I taped the broken screen like the guide suggests. It took me a little while to get the broken screen off. I had trouble with one of the screws . . .

My Problem

Cracked screen

My Fix

My first repair; slow but sure; double checking each step against the video and written guides.

My Advice

Pictures on iFixit did not always exactly match the equipment with which I worked. If you are OCD, do this with a friend.

My Problem

I have a 6 plus that has been suffering 'touch disease' for several months

Got a hand me down iPhone 5 with severe cracks and non functioning screen, but plugged it in and recognized as working

My Problem

Dust had entered my iPhone 5's original screen

My Fix

Good outcome with a few challenging tasks during reassembly

My Advice

iFixit's repair guide for disassembly was good - both the photos and video were helpful. What would have helped even more was a reassembly guide! The tiny plastic spacer behind the speaker was . . .
