My Problem

The power button in the iPhone 4S wasn't working and the earpiece speaker when I stopped working

My Fix

both repairs failed. The button itself wasn't the issue it was the part that pushed up against it and the speaker didn't work out either. The button itself is just a hard piece of metal no issue with it . . .

Cracked panels, front and back. Bad ear piece speaker, bad power button

My Fix

My Problem

I had replaced the front panel assembly before on this device and sometime in that I assumed I must have messed up the ear speaker during that. For awhile I just lived with it and used speaker phone or a headset but the time came to trade it in to the store for an upgrade and I had to get everything . . .

My Problem

Part 1 was replacing the broken screen, but after I put it back together and turned it over I remembered that the home button does NOT come with the kit. I was not about to take that whole thing apart again without an other reason. Just so happens that the power button was not working and I could . . .

My Problem

Speaker went out

My Fix

I was successful but forgot a part and had to disassemble

My Advice

lay out a large piece of paper and label parts by step. If you can afford it get the magnetic mat. Wear nitrile gloves so you don't have to clean the connections.

My Problem

Powerbutton defect

My Fix

The repair went well, following the repairmanual from iFixit. The most tricky part was when I came to the step of replacing the sensorcable itself.

My Advice

Use time to study the fotos at iFixits step by step and look for the position of the cable when you separate it
