My daughters iPad that she uses for school was dropped and shattered the screen. I took it to Apple exchange in Phoenix for a repair. They told me the iPad was too damaged due to a dent around the edge of the machine and they could not fix it. They suggested I find another machine. Or, they suggeste . . .

My Problem

Second time I've fixed this.

My Fix

This time: a easy peasy.

That's because the hard part is removing the screen and knowing where the potential pitfalls are. With a never-before-opened iPad, you have to be extremely patient and carefully loosen that adhesive. You don't want to destroy components inside. . . .

My Problem

I have kids and despite my best efforts to protect them, screens do not have long life spans in my house.

My Fix

Easier the second go around but it's not terrible.

My Advice

The trick in the guide of taping the cracked screen pieces ahead of removal is a must. i have done it both ways and taping the screen first saved . . .

My Fix

The first time that I attempted to fix the screen, I was unsuccessful. I had to purchase a tool to help me finish the job. I purchased the tool from iFixit and it was delivered in a couple of days.

My Fix

Pretty straight forward. Used hair dryer to heat glue

My Problem

Broken iPad 3 Screen. I purchased a cheap replacement screen in attempt to save money but ended up purchasing the iFixit screen, as the cheap replacement was junk. The other screen had "gridlines" across and was not reactive in several areas of the screen. The iFixit screen was clear and came with . . .

My Problem

Had a bad lcd on my iPad 4. Plus, mine had a white touch screen edge which I decided to change to black along with the matching black edge bezel. All the parts fit, were good quality and I HIGHLY recommend the very handy toolkit for this and future repairs. The nice quality metal tweezers are w . . .

My Fix

When the replacement came in, I installed it but the touch screen was hit and miss. The screen has bubbles on the underside. Emailed customer support, they said to remove the protective covers which I did . . .

My Problem

My screen was cracked in multiple places and it was time to fix it.

My Fix

I rushed into the repair at first. After several frustrating attempts of getting the screen off I became frustrated. The key here is to go really slow and keep heating the heating pad and let it sit for awhile and take the opening pr . . .

My Problem

Cracked screen from drop and dent in corner.

My Fix

Repair guide was great and easy to follow. Just had to heat up and bend the corner back out, then grind it down a bit so it wouldn't happen again. iFixit does it again!

My Advice

Go slow and do not skip any steps, the wifi antenna is very easy to break.
