My Problem

It fell on the corner and shattered the digitizer.

My Fix

It went pretty smooth. I bought a cheap 15 dollar one earlier and it cracked super easy right after the install because of how cheap it was. I looked at it as practice, as it was my first time installing a digitizer.

My Advice

iFixit is premium quality. I did h . . .

My Problem

Broken iPad 5 screen.

My Fix

The screen was completely shattered, so it was a long time being carefully to remove all of the glass, without ripping the home button ribbon or scratching the LCD. It went really well, and all is working again, but it took a long time.

My Advice

I like to use a tiny flathead screw driver . . .

My Problem

One of my customers had dropped their iPad face down and it shaddered.

My Fix

The repair process took longer than usual, this iPad was busted up pretty bad. The glass was very tough to get up because is was so damaged. I ended up having to use pliers to try and rip the glass off.

My Problem

Front panel digitizer cracked in multiple spots after a hard drop.

My Fix

A lot easier than expected. Pretty uneventful.

Initial problem was the battery needed replacement...then I broke the glass while trying to remove it!

My Fix

Overall well for the first attempt to repair this type of device.

My Advice

Use LOTS of time when applying heat with the iFixit Opener especially if you don't want the glass to crack!

My Problem

Smashed ipad

My Fix

Excellent, though I had to take parts from another phone, like rear case and speaker, in order to make things work properly. But a happy customer indeed - Reuse of parts! =)

My Advice

Follow the guide steps when you`re still learning. Notice the warnings etc, as you can actually damage components w . . .

My Problem

Front panel assembly, cracked screen.

My Fix

The repair went well.

My Advice

Use enough time to do it thoroughly.

My Problem

Cracked digitizer

My Fix

Good with the exception of the glass chipping away around the edges as I separated the old digitizer from the casing. Worst part is getting the old glass off.

My Advice

Take your time with this entire repair and everything will be ok. Be sure to tape up cracked screens but you may need to pull . . .
