The screen broke due to the fact the iPad was handed to a 2 year old to play a game on, he proceeded to throw it across the room. The mothers iPhone 5C is shattered as well due to a similar chain of events. The iPhone5C screen kit cost more than the value of the iPhone so it is a " goner" as we say . . .

Not difficult but tedious. my screen was basically shattered so I had a lot of small pieces to deal with.

My Advice

If you like to tiker of have any experience in repairing other things you will be fine. The glue is tougher than you think. Expect a minimums of 2 hours for he repair.

Be careful of the WiFi antenna and make sure you clean the old sticky tape residue!

Print a picture of the open unit and use double sided tape to place screws on the picture. Keeps them in place and know where each screw goes

Taking off the the original display is a pain as usual. There's glass everywhere and me wishing I had one of those fancy iFixit Tool Kits.
