My Problem

I tried to replace the battery for my macbook pro of model mid 2009. The 3 screws that fixed the battery were five-star shape. I could not get them off using the screwdrivers came with the battery.

My Fix

I bought two set of precision screwdrivers from walmart, containing 30-60 pieces. But none of them work . . .

Anti- clockwise = unscrew.

Because the old battery was swollen, it pushed against the bottom case panel with enough force to throw the tiny screws some distance as I loosened them! If your old battery is swollen, take care to appl . . .
