My Problem

I do not have a problem right now , but when I do I will be able to fix it with the tools you sent, that way I will not be fooled into anyone at a sales center into telling me I need a new phone. I will let you know as soon as I do use my kit ..Thank you very much

My Fix

no repairs as of yet

My Advice

i have not used mine yet . But keep it in the Box your phone came in so when you do need to use you will kinow right were it is at

My Problem

Screen was cracked beyond belief.

My Fix

The tools helped tremendously. I was able to take it apart so much that I could get the screen out and replace it with a must cheaper screen replacement from an online retailer. Saved me tons of money.

My Advice

Just go for it. Remember what you're removing and where it needs to go when you put it all back together. Without a doubt the most important aspect in that situation.

My Problem

I needed to open up my iPhone to fix the top home button and the fixit kit helped me with that.

My Fix

It wasn't easy for me because this was my first time taking an iPhone apart. But it went well.

My Advice

Have a lot of patience.

My Problem

My friend was having a problem with her on off button being stuck. I got her this kit to surprise her. :)

My Fix

We found a youtube video that gave really easy to follow directions. Also, she liked that she could switch out the screws.

Thanks for helping me help out a friend. :)

My Problem

Hi, thank you guys for the kit, I'm waiting on this person to give me an used iPhone, the problem with the iPhone, is when they plug in the charger, the charge indicator goes off and on, it could be something wrong with the sync pin, when I get the iPhone I'm going to try to reset the phone to see if that fixed the problem, thank you guys for the kit.

My Advice

iPhone 4s

My Problem

My earpiece in my iPhone 5s needed to be replaced, and since I had a small crack in my screen (which I'll repair soon thanks to ifixit!), they used this to state that the earpiece was damaged by the user, therefore voiding the apple care warranty I paid for!! The apple store offered to repair it for 175.00, and the lowest I could find was 140.00! That's when I decided to take it into my own hands. The earpiece was only 15.00 on amazon,(ifixit didn't have it available at the time), so I purchased that and all the tools I needed here at ifixit.

My Fix

The repair went very smoothly. I was a bit thrown off because my iPhone 5s was a newer model without the cable connecting the home button. There were some other differences too, but I was able to navigate pretty well! Love the liberation kit! The toolkit I bought has been a lifesaver as well! It only took me about half an hour to fix, and I was back to normal again!!

My Advice

Keep up with the screws whatever you do!!!! Also, look at some of the other tutorials for newer iPhones that are not yours for a reference towards some of the differences, as they seem to change things up constantly with disregard to model or make.

My Problem

My wife dropped her iPhone 5s and shattered the screen. The right third of the display was completely black and the rest had vertical red lines everywhere.

My Fix

I followed the guide except for pulling the copper sticker off the LCD shield when I removed the camera. It kept the sticker intact and the camera was already lined up on the new display assembly.

My Advice

Don't pull the sticker off that holds the camera to the LCD shield. It is really fragile and isn't necessary. The shield goes on the new display assembly anyway.

My Problem

Open easily my iPhone 5s

My Fix

Fine
