My Problem

A friend gave me his broken iPhone5 when he upgraded to a 6. (good friend!)

My Fix

Well the basic replacement of the screen is very easy. I have the tools from iFixit and followed the guide. The only problem I had were grey blocks at the top of the screen, then the display would act weird.

My Problem

The screen on my iphone 5 had gone dead. Except for the home-button-bracket (which was in perfect condition), I decided it would be better to effect a complete replacement of the entire screen assembly. While I was at it, I figured it also would be a good idea to replace the battery.

My Problem

I had a iPhone 5 with small cracks. As I attempted to buy replacements elsewhere, they did not work, so I had to re-install my old cracked screen

My Fix

Install is the same as any other, except this one worked right away.

My Advice

Make sure the small ribbon cables are firmly "clicked" in or you might have lines or m . . .

My Problem

Leaving for work one morning, I thoughtlessly placed my phone on top of my car to load the other items in my hands. Accelerating down the road, I hear something bounce off of my car and looking in the rear view mirror I could see something flashing with every bounce on the road (it was still dark). . . .

My Problem

Display was being pushed out (for whatever reason) and ultimately popped out, breaking the two little screw holes in the process.

My Fix

Fast, if with a bit of fiddling with the tiny screws. The display ribbon cables are more resilient than they look, apparently.

My Advice

The shorter screw near the battery is attache . . .
