Adhesive Strips for Every Repair

  • This complete set of replacement adhesive strips are specifically cut to fit 21.5" iMacs from Late 2012 through Late 2015.
  • The individual adhesive strips are labeled to indicate their correct location as shown in the replacement guides.
  • The kit includes one iMac Opening Tool.
  • Because of continuing improvements, actual product may differ slightly from photo.

The unique design of the 21.5" iMac requires the replacement of the adhesive strips whenever the display assembly is removed. Fortunately, these adhesive strips are actually a foam tape, easily cut with an iMac Opening Wheel. Unfortunately, the display has to be removed every time anything needs to be replaced or upgraded inside the machine.

My Problem

The entry level IMac 21,5 4K Late 2015 has an HORRENDOUSLY SLOW 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive, that made the whole experience of using the computer, an absolute pain. We got this computer as a replacement for a white polycarbonate Macbook, that turned out to be running a lot faster than the new computer . . .

My Problem

I wanted to upgrade the sluggish 2.5" 5400 RPM platter drive with a new Samsung EVO 850 SSD, While I was in there, I figured I'd double the 8GB of RAM to 16GB.

My Fix

Success! This guide is spot-on! I was able to follow each step in detail and safely open my iMac without any issues. The repair kit from . . .

My Problem

Needed to replace the RAM and Hard drive on a late 2013 iMac - a device rated as "get a professional" due to the sealed nature of the iMac.

My Fix

Wonderful. Thee tool to seep rate the iMac display from its back is nothing short of revolutionary. The "pizza cutter" is light years ahead of the "guitar pick . . .

My Late 2012 21.5" iMac had been performing like a dog lately - the 5400rpm laptop hard drive in there is terribly slow. We didn't get the Fusion Drive model. I had upgraded Macbook Pro's to SSD's before, so I figured why not upgrade the iMac.

My Fix

The repair was actually easier than first expected. It . . .

My Problem

Replaced the hard drive.

My Fix

Despite the lengthy instructions the job was actually much easier than the old iMac with the glass that was held in with magnets. The adhesive strip kit came with the cutting tool that makes the job very easy.
