My Problem

My son had managed to break off the headphone jack inside the headphone assembly

My Fix

Followed all of the steps outlined on the site and had it disassembled, repaired and reassembled in less than 30 minutes. Excellent instructions and illustrations made this repair a no-brainer.

My Advice

I made sure to place all of the screws in the white back cover of the phone. They were easy to see with the contrasting colors.

My Problem

The headphone jack on my three year old phone stopped working (curiously at the end of my phone contract) and thought I would need a new phone.

My Fix

I followed the iFixit guide...it was a cheap fix (except for shipping) and easy to do.

My Advice

The iFixit guide is great and very clear in what you need to do. Do not fear this repair!

My Problem

it was headphone jack was beoke

My Fix

good

My Advice

thanks

My Problem

Headphone jack must've cracked. Jiggling the plug would cause popping and single channel audio.

My Fix

Was quite simple thanks to the modular assembly. Just pulled all the screws, opened it up and swapped the audio module.

My Advice

Be careful with your headphone jack?

My Problem

Headphone jack connection became flaky. Typically only on channel would work (i.e. sound only out of left speaker)

My Fix

Followed "Samsung Galaxy S III Headphone Jack/Speaker Assembly Replacement" guide. Repair was very quick, cheap, and effective.

My Advice

The #0 Phillips seemed a bit too big for the screws. It worked, but had to press hard to prevent stripping. Generally speaking, I wouldn't say both pry tools are required for this repair. The big one seemed especially unnecessary. Could probably get by without the small one as well, but it was nice to have when connecting/disconnecting the ribbon cable without having to worry about ESD.
