My Problem

iPhone 6 screen glass was shattered.

My Fix

Repair went fairly smoothly. Some of the ribbon cables were a bit stressful to pull off their adhesive.

My Advice

Go very slowly on those ribbon cables. Using the spudger helps a lot. Project tray was an absolute life saver. Those screws are tiny and want to roll around . . .

My Problem

Over the past several months, I started noticing a significant decrease in battery life on my iPhone 6. It used to go two or even three days without a charge, but it got to the point where it wouldn't even get through one day and started just shutting off even with 26% or so remaining.

My Fix

My Problem

My iPhone's Lightning connector was difficult to plug in successfully. I tried cleaning it out, thinking it might be dusty or grimy inside, but it made no difference. My Problem

Device was out of warranty and I had the spare parts from another similar device.

My Fix

I made myself a chart to put underneath it while I work. It's paired with my step by step instructions I make for myself while I disassemble something. As I take something apart I put the screws/parts in the tray. Then . . .

My Problem

My son spilled syrup onto the controller, leaving it unusable. I didn’t need to replace the buttons as cleaning the them did the trick to restore usability

My Fix

Great

My Advice

Definitely purchase a set of security Torx screwdrivers

My Problem

I had no Cell service but wifi was working fine. I was suggested to replace the antenna flex cable and it was way cheaper than buying a new phone

My Fix

went well. bought the anti static project tray which stored all screws by step. Highly suggested buying it.

My Advice

have patience and take your time.

My Problem

The iPhone was alerting me that my battery might need replacement

My Fix

The instructions didn't adequately explain what happens to the adhesive strip that seals the case perimeter. Some adhesive stayed with the back panel, some stayed with the front panel, and a lot of it stretched out between the two. Lea . . .

My Problem

I'm pretty sure there was salt water damage to my phone. It was in my side pocket when I hauled my boat out of the water after a 21 day trip in Barkley Sound. I'd kept the phone in a waterproof pouch all that time, then had it out at the end while I was unloading and I guess my legs were deeper in t . . .

My Problem

The display on my Iphone 4s broke from skateboarding. I tried to upload some before and after photos but the page keeps timing out.

My Fix

The repair went great. I love IFIXIT! I utilized the pro tech toolkit. Unfortunately I fell again though guys so I will be doing this repair again, and the back as well. . . .

My Problem

I was working at Starbucks when my friend Carlos saw me and came over to give me a hug. I knocked a whole bottle of Soylent on my keyboard. Eek.

My Fix

It took about two hours total. I was going extra slowly because I had not worked on a Macbook before. If I should need to do it again, god forbid, it could . . .
