My Problem

Dead iMac Intel 27" optical Drive Fan. Need a replacment

My Fix

It was easy for me. got the replacement part, disassembled the screen of the mac, and replaced the fan.

My Advice

nope. just follow the guides how to disassemble the screen without damaging any of the ribbon cables.
