My Problem

The Trackpad's glasse was broken and the clic not working. I decide to change the complete Trackpad with a new one.

My Fix

I just followed the procedure of ifixt and replaced the broken one with the new one. It's perfectly woring.

My Advice

Take the time to clean up the fans and the dust of the motherboard. Important . . .

Using IFIXIT step by step instructions the repair was a success.

My Advice

Be very carful unplugging the connections, especially the trackpad. Use an empty egg carton to put screws in making sure to label the step # in the openings.

So I was eating some sushi on my laptop and as I opened the soy sauce packet it started squirt down on my hand which got all over my trackpad. IFixit didn't have a repair for this particular MacBook Pro. It took me a few minutes find one on YouTube though. I was apprehensive at first due to the fragility of the cable and clamp. But I was able to use the existing cable. Gr . . .

The battery on our MacBookPro had swollen and pushed the trackpad out as well as bending the bottom-case.

My Fix

The repair went well -- with the right tools and parts from iFixit I was able to save my company hundreds of dollars.

My Advice

Make sure you dispose of the battery in an ecologically responsible way.
