The right fan on my 15" MBP started making alarming noises. I figured it would fail completely soon, so I ordered a replacement fan from iFixit.

Rechargeable batteries just don't last forever - even good ones. I think it's a conspiracy by the physicists of the world who just need to tweak some equation somewhere for all of us to enjoy unlimited battery life. For sure Nobel Prize to whomever does this. Until then, we must replace batteries . . .

The battery in my Macbook Pro was dead. Apple show it on their website but in fact do not sell them any more. They told me they no longer supplied batteries for my "vintage" machine!

My MacBookPro has a user replaceable battery so there was no challenge there, but so far the iFixIt battery seems just fine...only one cycle on it so far.
