My Problem

As you can see from the photo, my old battery decided to hit puberty and started growing. To my surprise, the existing home we provided for that battery was too small. As a result, it decided to grow through the trackpad as quickly as possible.

My Fix

This was a super easy repair, albeit slightly scary be . . .

My Problem

Battery life zero

My Fix

The driver bits did not fit screw heads well, if not careful could strip screw heads. Don’t be afraid to use excessive pressure

My Advice

Machine driver bits that fit screw heads better ie. find a better quality supplier maybe Germany

Perfect. Using the provided tool I complete the repair in about 10 minutes with any problems.

My Problem

Due to an upcoming trip, I finally decided to upgrade the original battery in my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. My Problem

I still had the factory battery in my MacBook Pro. I bought it in 2009 so the battery was definitely at end of life. It would only stay charged for a half hour if it was off the charger.

My Fix

Great! Super easy. I did watch a Youtube video to make sure I was doing it correctly, but most could do the switch . . .

My Problem

wanted more battery life

My Fix

Great - this is easy.

My Advice

The instructions a bunch of steps for removing the faceplate entirely. The video skips that. I started removing the faceplate then realized I didn't need to -- so go with the video version. Much faster!

Works like a charm
