Repair was great - new fan obviously works and now cools the MacMini properly.

My Advice

Follow the guide and you cant really go wrong. Use the correct recommended tools and parts.

The repair was super-extra-easy. The Mac Mini 2009 is the last model before the unibody conception, so you've got to use some special tools (see tutorials . . .

My Problem

The fan in my Mac Mini had gradually grown louder, to the point where it was distracting while watching Netflix.

My Fix

Replacing a fan in the Mac Mini is pretty easy. The trickiest part is getting the Mac open. It requires a flexible putty knife for a 2009 Mac Mini.

My Advice

Don't forget to replace all the cables wh . . .
