iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2638 Fan Replacement

Introduction

Prereq to remove fan after hard drive brackets.

What you need

  1. iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2638 Fan Replacement, Fan: step 1, image 1 of 2 iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2638 Fan Replacement, Fan: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Gently pull the fan cable connector straight away from its socket on the logic board.

    • Remove the three 12.3 mm T10 shoulder screws securing the fan to the rear enclosure.

    • Remove the fan from the iMac.
