Step Lines

[* icon_note] It may be possible to remove the battery simply by pulling on the plastic pull-tab. If this is insufficient, however, proceed with the prying outlined in this step.
[* black] Insert the edge of a plastic opening tool between the battery and the rear case near the bottom the iPhone.
[* black] Run the plastic opening tool along the right edge of the battery and pry up at several points to completely separate it from the adhesive securing it to the rear case.
[* icon_caution] Do not pry up too hard, as this may permanently deform or puncture the battery or damage the logic board.
[* icon_caution] Avoid prying anywhere where chips are exposed on the logic board, such as near the clear plastic pull tab, to avoid breaking them off.
