This guide will attempt to show the user how to properly remove and replace the monitor without damaging it or any intermediary components.

Step 1 — Monitor ¶
Carefully disconnect the pin connector indicated in the photo.
Step 2 ¶
Remove the four 6.8 mm screws holding the monitor in place, using a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 3 ¶
Lift away the metal housings from the laptop to uncover two additional screws on each side of the laptop.
Step 4 ¶
Remove the final four 6.8 mm remaining screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
The monitor is now free and can be lifted away from the laptop.
