Step Lines

[* black] Next, prepare your component for soldering by removing any excess solder from the contacts. The contacts should be clean enough to pass through the holes you just opened without interference.
[* icon_note] To clean the contacts of a component, run the tip of a soldering iron down the length of the contact to wipe the solder away from the component. Clean the iron's tip between strokes by wiping it against a moist sponge.
[* icon_caution] Do not overheat the component while prepping the contacts.
