+[* black] I have to say that if you pull up on the grey part of the battery connector you are very likely to break it, it is much easier to just grab the battery cable with a pair of tweezers and pull gently until it is free, this does not disturb the fragile clip on the connector, i have been replacing the battery cable in exactly the same way, make sure the clip is CLOSED then offer the connector end of the cable up to the socket with a pair of tweezers and gently push it into place.
