[* black] What exactly is a Taptic Engine? The Taptic Engine is Apple's design of a linear actuator that produces haptic feedback. A linear actuator is an actuator that creates motion in a straight line, in contrast to the circular motion of a conventional electric motor.
[* black] It makes sense that the Taptic Engine is attached to the speaker, since when combined with subtle audio cues from the specially engineered speaker driver, the Taptic Engine is designed to create a discrete motion.
