[* black] While the isopropyl alcohol helped us get one foot in the front door, based on the amount of glue we're seeing already we're going to go out on a limb and say these tiny budsAirPods are still just plastic shellsputting up a good fight. A firm jab with gobs of glue insideour tweezers opens up the driver for inspection.
[* black] Sweat beads as we carefully make an incision down the Airpod's belly using an ultrasonic ~~scalpel~~ knife, cutting the shell while avoiding damaging the battery underneathunderneath ... mostly.
[* black] Flex cables, antennas, and internal circuitrymicrophones are all carefully folded together like origami and cemented in place with glue. We cut away as much of the outer casing as we dare, and painstakingly separate the rest with a fine dental pick.
