# Remove the two feet on the back plate with the iFixit opening tool by prying the tool under them.
# Remove the 2 M1179289 (2mm) Screws along the width of the device with the T3 Torx Screwdriver.
# Remove the 7 M1167779 (4mm) screws under the feet of the device with the T3 Torx Screwdriver.
# Lift the back plate off lightly with your hands and set it above the device.
# Disconnect the ***battery cable*** from the bottom cover by lifting the ***pull tab*** until it clicks.
# Remove the battery with the pull tabs
** You will need to reattach the new battery with adhesive.
# To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
