Introduction

If you find that your laptop no longer connects to a Wi-Fi connection, or the computer runs very well but connecting to the internet is sluggish. It may be time to replace the wireless network card.

  1. Remove the fourteen 5mm Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the laptop.
    • Remove the fourteen 5mm Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the laptop.

  2. Using the plastic prying tools, go around the edge of the bottom of the laptop to release the cover.

  4. Remove the four 5mm Phillips #0 screws from the battery. Unplug the battery from the motherboard. Remove the battery from the laptop.
    • Remove the four 5mm Phillips #0 screws from the battery.

    • Unplug the battery from the motherboard.

    • Remove the battery from the laptop.

  5. Disconnect the black and white antenna wires from the wifi card.
    • Disconnect the black and white antenna wires from the wifi card.

  6. Remove the 3mm Phillips #0 screw from the wifi card.
    • Remove the 3mm Phillips #0 screw from the wifi card.

    • Remove the card from its socket.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
