Introduction

How to replace the Keyboard on Toshiba Satellite, series 850.

The video manual is for cleaning the cooling system, but you can follow it, because at the beginning you can see how to disassemble the keyboard.

What you need

Switch-off the laptop and remove the battery.

Step 2

Toshiba Satellite C850 Keyboard Replacement: step 2, image 3 of 3

The Keyboard is held by 7x locking clips. Use cutter and plastic tools to unlock them.

Step 3

Disconnect the old Keyboard and you are ready to install the new one.
To remove or re-insert the keyboard ribbon, simply flip the locking clip upwards to unlock and downwards to lock the ribbon. Alternatively, you may pull it outwards with a fingernail.
